We’ve felt like outcasts in Macau, in the US, anywhere we went. As third-culture kids, it's hard to find a place where we feel belonged, so we decided to create a space where others who felt the same can relate and feel belonged.

We were born and raised in Macau, and went to a local school where everything was taught in Cantonese, no one used English then (except English class). Which also means we grew up writing essays in Chinese characters and learning subjects in Chinese.

Our course is designed for English speakers, it includes many comparisons between the two languages and practical tips to help you remember grammar rules and sentence structuring easily! We also included Jyutping.

You don't need to know Cantonese to start the course. This course will start from the basics - a beginner's course (level A1), and that's why we'll be there to guide you in your learning journey 💪🏻
